TAPP Payment System
Contactless fare payment for PATH riders in New York and New Jersey
TAPP & Ride
The Port Authority of NY & NJ, in partnership with Cubic Transportation Systems, asked Reflexions to deploy a new contactless payment system beyond New York’s borders and into New Jersey.
The TAPP contactless payment system (TAPP) simplifies transit payments and makes the system more convenient, inviting, and accessible. We designed all key customer touchpoints including validators, vending machines, and the customer point-of-sale system.
We also delivered the design and development of the customer web portal and institutional website for enabling organizations to manage their transit benefits.

Visit Site
The TAPP customer website allows riders to register and manage their payment accounts, manage travel cards, add value, and purchase travel passes.
TAPP Customer Website
The TAPP customer website allows customers to register and configure accounts, view transaction history, update billing information, add and remove travel cards, purchase value and passes, and perform other account management functions.
B2B Institutional Website
The B2B TAPP website allows for group administration and benefits management, enabling companies and other registered institutions to manage their employee or customer participants. With this tool, administrators can configure and maintain their roster of constituents and distribute transit value or fare products to those accounts either on an individual basis or in bulk.
Validator, Vending Machine, and Point-of-Sale
Reflexions designed the interfaces for TAPP validators, vending machines, and the point-of-sale system that serve as the primary system touchpoints for millions of PATH riders every year.
